Looking for an English-speaking improv course in The Hague?
Our 8-week improv course for total beginners is your perfect first step that will bring more confidence on stage (and in life)!
Explore what improv is all about and become familiar with acceptance, commitment and how to build scenes with your fellow participants. No prior experience is needed.
Great question! This is one of the most common challenges in improv. Our exercises train your brain to trust itself. By Week 3, you’ll surprise yourself with how quickly you react!
Here’s a sneak peek of what you’ll learn:
– The “Yes, And…” Rule – Keep scenes flowing by accepting and building on ideas
– Observation Tricks – Train yourself to react to what you see/hear in the moment
– Pattern Interrupts – Simple ways to break out of mental blocks
– Word Association Drills – Exercises to boost your quick-thinking skills
We’ll break down several techniques with examples so you can practice and see fast improvement. No more blank moments – just confident, creative responses!
Yes—and you’re not alone! Many of our most talented improvisers are not native English speakers. Improv actually helps you think on your feet in any language by training instinctive listening, expressive body language, and creative problem-solving. Grammar perfection isn’t the goal; connection is. Some of our best scenes come from students who turn “language gaps” into unexpected humor or fascinating characters. Your unique perspective makes stories richer. Just like improv itself, it’s not about being perfect—it’s about being present.
Our students range from 18 to 70+. Improv is ageless!
Improv isn’t about jokes—it’s about listening, reacting, and embracing mistakes. The ‘funny’ happens naturally when you stop trying to be perfect!

Our regular courses run on Tuesdays—because who doesn’t need a midweek laughter boost to power through? 😉
If Tuesdays don’t work for your superstar schedule, no stress! We’ve got Sunday workshops for weekend warriors. Either way, you’ll leave happier than when you arrived—guaranteed!
No worries, you have a life and these things happen. You’ll be able to proceed with the course and take a Sunday workshop instead.
Here are the rules and values we uphold in our programs.
Open attitude. Improv is about accepting ourselves and others. As such, we find it essential that our courses foster an environment of trust, honesty and acceptance.
Authenticity. Improv is about creating unique scenarios that simultaneously allow us to bring parts of ourselves to sessions. We encourage you to be you regardless of culture, ethnicity, gender, religious beliefs or sexual orientation.
Togetherness. For us, improv is more fun when you share the spotlight and yes, and each other. As such, we ask you to be open to others and share the stage.
Commitment. We ask you to commit to the course both on and off the stage. Be on time, and let us know when you can’t make it when you are late, and if something is happening. We are always happy to work together to find a solution and help wherever possible.
Language English. We value our international community, which includes people from all over the world. All our events, including courses, are held in English.
Over 5 years, we made 1,700 people laugh until they couldn’t breathe.
(Seriously – some needed recovery time. Worth it.)
Once they caught their breath, here’s what they gasped out.
"The courses were great, and I looked forward to the session every week. It was lovely to have support from the instructors which made me feel safe to try things out."
"Very welcoming community where you can make friends from all over the world and of course practise improv techniques. It is easier than it sounds as you get great support and guidance from professional improvisers and of course your co-players."
"A supportive improv community, for opportunities for people to join at all levels. Great quality classes with local and international guest teachers, fun Sunday drop ins and creative, fun as well as theatrical shows! A great way to meet people as well."
"Nicest group of people you can ever meet, improvise together and have fun 🙂 "
"An amazing community welcoming and supporting everyone who wants to play, challenge themselves, make friends and be authentic. Also one of the funniest Friday evening events you can attend in The Hague."
